So excited to be holding the second Limestone Books book club this week. I’ve got my notes ready and my pages marked. I’ve even baked a cake! Looking forward to some insightful discussion with all of our fabulous members.

I’m still working through ‘Overstory’… it’s a longer book that I normally tackle, got to Part 2 now. But I see your book club is to read: The Sixteen Trees of the Somme, Lars Mytting. Is this another tree story that I should put on the ‘to-read’ pile?

Sorry Paul – only just seen your comment – didn’t realise they could be made on this website! Just had a look at the description and it mentions this: The Sixteen Trees of the Somme is about the love of wood and finding your own self, a beautifully intricate and moving tale that spans an entire century.
Not having read it yet, I can’t tell you how ‘tree’ focused it is. Sorry I can’t be of more help….
