Refugee Week – Display – With info available on 19th June

Refugee Week takes place from 17th to the 23rd of June – which happens to coincide with Independent Bookshop Week. As part of both, we will be creating a display of books written by and/or about the refugee experience. In doing so we hope to celebrate the contributions, creativity, and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary.

If you’d like to find out more about refugees in literature or local volunteering in the area, you can call into the shop to chat with Pippa Doran, on Wednesday the 19th of June. Pippa will be here between 10.30am-11.30am AND  2pm-3pm.
